ESG Policies / Sustainability

SOLUTIO assigns great importance to the consideration of sustainability factors in the three so-called ESG categories (Environmental, Social & Governance) within the scope of individual investment programmes. Our investment partners have their own ESG policies, which we are happy to make available to potential investors.

Required information pursuant to the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (“Disclosure Regulation”) with reference to SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG

I. Strategies for handling sustainability risks in investment decision-making processes
(Article 3 of the Disclosure Regulation)

Solutio Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG currently manages German feeder funds within the scope of various investment programmes. The corresponding investment decisions are taken respectively at master level, while the investment decision of the feeder is limited to a one-time participation in the master fund. Consequently, sustainability risks are currently not a separate component of the investment decisions of SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG.

Moreover, it is not defined in advance in which target funds the respective master fund will participate (blind pool). Consequently, in any case, it is only possible to assess sustainability risks at the time of the investment decision on the basis of the investment strategy and investment criteria of the managers of the respective master fund. Based on their strategies for handling sustainability issues (“ESG policies”), at the time of the investment decision, it is not possible to actually infer which sustainability risks will exist in the subsequent target fund portfolio.

II. Required information for consideration of adverse sustainability impacts at the level of SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG
(Article 4 of the Disclosure Regulation)

In accordance with Art. 4 of the Disclosure Regulation, financial market participants are obliged to state whether they consider adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors. If they do so, they must provide detailed statements as per the specific provisions of Art. 4 of the Disclosure Regulation with regard to specific sustainability aspects. For the reasons represented above regarding Art. 3 of the Disclosure Regulation, we do not at present consider adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors in our investment decisions. In particular, with reference to the master fund and its target funds, at the time of the participation of the feeder in the master fund, there was not sufficient information available to us regarding their handling of sustainability aspects (“ESG data”) so as to determine the adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors pursuant to Art. 4 of the Disclosure Regulation. We will observe the extent to which the ESG data situation improves over time, and whether a relevant estimate of the impacts on sustainability factors can be made in the case of the possible issue of further feeders.

III. Required information regarding remuneration policies in connection with the consideration of sustainability risks
(Article 5 of the Disclosure Regulation)

SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG, as a registered investment management company within the context of § 2 (4) German Capital Investment Code (KAGB), does not have set remuneration guidelines (remuneration policies) as per the provisions of the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB). Since SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG only manages feeder funds and thus sustainability risks have not been a component of the investment decisions of SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG, at present sustainability risks are not considered in the remuneration policies of SOLUTIO Fund Management GmbH & Co. KG
